International Law Reform Conference

You are warmly invited to the biennial Conference of the Commonwealth Association of Law Reform Agencies (CALRAs). The Conference will be held in Hyderabad, India, on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th February 2011. It is being arranged by CALRAs, with the kind assistance of the Law Commission of India.

All are welcome to attend, including law reformers and all others, and whether or not involved in CALRAs.

The Conference will start early on the morning of Friday 4th. It will conclude on the afternoon of Saturday 5th. It will include a CALRAs General Meeting.

The CALRAs Conference is timed to suit those who may also wish to attend the Commonwealth Law Conference (CLC), an entirely separate, large and prestigious international event. It is taking place from Saturday 5th (evening) to Thursday 9th February, in the Hyderabad International Convention Centre.

The CLC draft programme includes a session of particular interest to those attending the CALRAs Conference. It is entitled "Law Reform and the Need for Change", and is on Tuesday 8th February.

Full details about the CLC, including about its programme, registration, accommodation, travel and social programme, etc are available on the CLC website ( CALRAs will not be arranging accommodation or travel for either Conference.

Further information about the CALRAs Conference will be sent out as soon as it becomes available. Those wishing to register for the CALRAs Conference are invited to contact the General Secretary (below). There was no charge for attending previous CALRAs Conferences.
