Bringing claims for mass data-breaches
Event Details
In light of increasingly high-profile cases concerning remedies for data breaches, this event will consider the different perspectives on accountability for mass data-breaches. Convened by the British Institute of International and Comparative Law (BIICL), and hosted by Mishcon de Reya LLP, the event will bring together leading practitioners, policy makers and academics to discuss the complex legal issues arising from such claims. Experts will consider a range of issues including the evolving substantive law, procedural difficulties and funding considerations, cross-border questions and approaches to the assessment of harm for breaches of data protection and quantification of damages.
